Mission and Vision

Phi Delta Kappa International, its members and chapters, have witnessed nearly a century of humankind's search for civic order, fairness, and justice. Change, its cadence quickened by invention and products of the mind, has produced unprecedented benefit and largesse for many, threat and despair for more. Education is, and forever will be, the guiding star to civilization and rite of passage to equity, honor, respect, dignity, and hope.

MISSION: The mission of Phi Delta Kappa International shall be to promote high-quality education, in particular publicly supported education, as essential to the development, and maintenance of a democratic way of life.

VISION: Phi Delta Kappa dedicates itself to becoming the experts in cultivating great educators for tomorrow and ensuring high-quality education for today.
